The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Defiant "Couture" is a premium edition of the Air Jordan 1 inspired by high-fashion. Also calling to mind the “Banned” theme associated with the original black and red Jordan 1, this colorway features a semi-glossy black leather upper with large red stripes painted across the upper. These are very well constructed black leather dress shoes - they don't look cheap at all and the leather and soles are good quality. The buckles have to be undone to make them open up enough to put on. Unfortunately, my husband wears a size 8 (these shoes are size 8), but he can't wear them because they are too tight across the tops of his feet. I think these are better for men with narrow feet. They are quite awesome to look at, and I wish he could wear them but they will have to be re-homed.

I find Chucks too narrow and uncomfortable. These have a bit more width across the area of the ball of the foot, and that makes a tremendous difference in fit and comfort.

Plus the insoles really do add extra padding and support, and they do shift your weight to the outside of the foot, making them comfortable to wear for much longer.

And of course it's great to have on a pair of P. F. Flyers again!

Aside from being extremely comfortable, these shoes are very well made and match GREAT with all types of clothes. I bought the black pair and am definitely going to buy the white pair too. AWESOME!
