The Nike Air Max 1 “Recycled” is an environmentally conscious colorway of the retro running shoe by Nike. The brand’s “Space Hippie” campaign from Summer 2020 informs the construction of eco-friendly materials found on the “Recycled” Air Max 1. Recycled canvas overlays on the mid-panel, forefoot, and heel are layered over a white mesh base. Blue contrast stitching appears around the Swoosh branding on either side and white stitching contrasts the black leather mudguard. A small neon green Swoosh logo appears on the forefoot of the previously mentioned mudguard and a blue “Nike Air” logo can be found on the nylon branding tag stitched onto the top of the tongue. Volt “Nike Air” detailing is embroidered on the back of the shoe and a visible Air unit is located in the heel of the white midsole. Release date: October 2020.
