The Nike Air Max 1 in “Schematic Black” is part of a two-colorway release, also including an all-white version, that pays homage to Tinker Hatfield’s thought process behind the original Air Max 1 model. The entire upper and midsole of the sneaker are predominantly black with a nubuck material covering the upper. Contrasting white details with notes detailing each overlay illustrate the reasoning behind the design. White pinstripes surround the collar and on the right sneaker’s heel resides Tinker’s signature and the date of the final sketch of the Air Max, which is revealed to be 09/23/1986. A black midsole and translucent rubber outsole complete this special release. The Air Max 1 “Schematic Black” was released on August 9th, 2019
