The Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low “Green Bear” is one of three extremely sought after colorways from the California based rock band’s collaboration with Nike SB. Nike SB produced a swarm of exciting new and original designs in 2020 that incorporate elements outside of the realm of sneaker culture, with the trio of Grateful Dead Dunks heading the lineup. The two-toned appearance of the upper features green faux fur on the toe, mid-panel, and heel as a direct reference to the band’s marching bears characters commonly seen on various artworks for Grateful Dead albums and merchandise. The motif reappears in a multicolor design on the insole. Tonal suede overlays dot the forefoot, eyelets, and heel. Branding appears in the form of a contrasting blue jagged Swoosh on the mid-panel, blue Nike embroidery on the heel, and a mini marching bear and Swoosh logo inside of an emblem on the tongue. One final detail of note, the hidden stash pocket located on the inside of the tongue displays the band's \"Steal Your Face\" skull. Release date: July 24, 2020.

These shoes are awesome! The look is just great, I have gotten numerous compliments on them. I am also a crossfitter so have used these for both heavy strength training and metcon workouts with running and lifting. The flat sole is good for lifting technique and has good cushion overall, not crazy but enough and has a great fit to it. Only thing I would recommend is scotch guard the white areas cause they get dirty fast on the toe. Awesome otherwise, and I will probably by another pair when these start to wear out but doing great so far with regular wearing and workouts.

These shoes work great, they are very similar to other shoes I’ve trained with but these cost about $25 less. They fit well and seem to be well made. The only complaint I have is that the laces are very short so you may consider buying other laces.

First off, I wear a size 14 in most shoes, including Five Ten Freerider mountain biking shoes. These are only made up to a 13. I heard that they come a little large though and decided to try them out. I'm not sure if this is true across all sizes, but the 13 is more like a 13.75. They ended up fitting me very well. So, be careful on the size.

The main reason I bought these though is that I LOVE the Stealth rubber soles on my MTB shoes and wanted to try out a pair of hiking/approach shoes from Five Ten. Even though the tread pattern doesn't look terribly aggressive, these are the best gripping trail shoes I've owned. They are comfortable all around with a reasonably wide toe box and good cushioning at the top of the tongue and under the ankle. The soles are stiff and took a little while to break in. I still wouldn't say they've "softened" all that much though. The bottom of the shoe is pretty stiff and the inner sole is not very cushy. They are comfortable for wearing all day though. I recently traveled with them for 10 days as my only pair of shoes both walking around town and hiking. So, they're fine. If you like a soft sole or lots of padding though, these are definitely not for you.

The only complaint I have is that these shoes do not breathe well at all. They're mostly a soft leather with a little bit of mesh. The mesh is thick though. My feet get hot in lots of shoes, but these are very hot. The flip side is that they do a decent job of keeping moisture out. During rainy hikes, my feet have stayed pretty dry. For me, the durability is nice. I've beaten up a lot of shoes hiking and I can tell these are going to hold up well. They're very well made and solid.

Overall, I really like these shoes. You just have to be good with the tradeoffs. They choose durability, grip and stiffness over being lightweight and breathable. And I feel like I should repeat that they are not cushy. They have stiff soles, but flex enough to walk around in all day no matter what the terrain. Give them a try if that's what you're after.

Though the listing pictures make these shoes look “cream”, they are indeed white in-person. At least the upper portion. The bottom sole is gray. It shows on the label that the entire shoe is man-made. The bottom sole does not feel like rubber. It has the feel of pressed paper. There is nice arch support, and a fair amount of padding inside. Some padding around the ankle as well. These shoes are Made in China. They may be a little wide for some. These look more for those in the nursing profession.
