The Nike Dunk Low “UNLV” is an original colorway of the former performance basketball shoe that was included in 1985’s “Be True to Your School Pack.” Returning in January 2021, the “UNLV” references the makeup of the Dunk made exclusively for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball team during the model’s initial product cycle in the ‘80s. As for this contemporary re-release, Nike keeps the original look intact, and the results are clearly favorable. Varsity Red leather overlays can be found on the forefoot, toe cap, eyelets, and heel. The Las Vegas-area school’s Vast Grey hue appears on the perforated toe, mid-panel, collar, and heel. Additional red accenting is located on the leather Swoosh branding that appears on either side and on the heel counter and shoe laces. Grey “Nike” embroidery is stitched onto the back of the shoe. A thin nylon tongue displays classic Nike Air branding to complete the look. Release date: January 14, 2021.
